Lasagna with Béchamel Sauce Recipe

This delicious lasagna combines a rich béchamel sauce with savory meat filling, making it a comforting dish perfect for any occasion. Here’s how to prepare it:

Ingredients:

For Lasagna Filling:

• 250 grams lasagna sheets

• 300 grams ground meat (beef or chicken)

• 1 large onion (chopped)

• 1 tablespoon tomato paste

•  500 grams Mushrooms (chopped)

• 2 larges Bell pepper (chopped)

• Salt and pepper to taste

• Desired spices (such as turmeric, cinnamon, and oregano)

• 250 grams Parmesan cheese (grated)

Preparation Steps:

2. Preparing Lasagna Filling:

• In a large skillet, heat a little oil and sauté the chopped onion until soft and translucent.

• Add the ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Add mushrooms, and bell peppers, and sauté for a bit.

• Stir in tomato paste. Season with salt, pepper, and your desired spices. Let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

3. Cooking Lasagna Sheets:

• Cook the lasagna sheets according to the package instructions or place them in boiling water until softened. Drain and set aside.

4. Assembling the Lasagna:

• Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).

• In a suitable baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.

• Place a layer of lasagna sheets on top of the meat sauce.

• Add a layer of béchamel sauce followed by a sprinkle of grated mozzarella cheese.

• Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of béchamel sauce topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

5. Baking the Lasagna:

• Place the assembled lasagna in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

6. Serving:

• After baking, allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
